Do I have to worry about clearing samples?
Yes, while most of our beats do not contain any copyrighted sample material so you don’t need to worry about it, but in some cases samples are requested by people wanting custom production work. They may need permission to duplicate in a commercial environment. Please contact us about any beat/loop/track in question.
What equipment do you use to make these beats?
We use PC & Mac based work stations, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Midi keyboards and VST Plug-Ins (virtual synthesizers, virtual instruments).
Can I re-sell the beat(s) after downloading them as a Quality Key member?
NO! You are NOT allowed to re-sell the beat(s) or transfer your license-rights to the beat(s) to a third person.
How do I give proper credit?
Proper credit is given as follows in written form: ‘Beat by Quality Key, produced by Quality Key or Beat by thequalitykey.com.
Do you offer recording services or mixing/mastering services?
We do not offer recording services but might announce some affiliate recording-studios and engineers, offering this kind of service.
What is the audio format of the instrumentals used?
All the instrumentals/beats purchased on Beats Avenue are in mp3 (320 kbps) or wav format (44 kHz/24bits). Wav format is the best audio quality for recordings or broadcast.

When will I receive my beat(s)?
Your beat(s) will be instantly available for download directly from the order summary page once you checkout and your payment has been processed. You will also receive a confirmation email with the download links. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it shortly after purchase.
How can I access the beat(s) I just purchased?
Download links to the beat files and license agreement will appear on your order summary page once you complete the checkout process. Additionally, an email will be sent to the address provided at checkout with the download links immediately after purchase. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see the email right away. If you have any trouble accessing the files, email us at [email protected] and we will send them to you manually.
Can I download beats from my mobile device?
Yes, but certain mobile devices can have compatibility issues when downloading the files directly to the phone. It is advisable to download the files to your desktop or laptop using the link in the confirmation email you’ll receive after a successful checkout. Don’t worry if you navigate away from the order summary page on your phone, you’ll be linked back to it in the email to get your files.
What’s the difference between an unlimited lease and an exclusive?
The usage rights are the same for both: you get unlimited sales, streams, etc. The difference is, if you purchase the Exclusive, the ownership rights to the beat are transferred to you and the beat is immediately removed from the beat store, never to be sold to another artist again. Unlimited Leases are still non-exclusive, so even though you get the same usage rights as if you owned the Exclusive, the beat will remain in the beat store for others to lease or buy.

Quality Key hours of operation are from 8am-5pm Monday thru Saturday with 24 hour email customer support. We’re closed for business every Sunday and on holidays.

Technical FAQ
What is a full track?
A full track is a complete musical mix with an introduction and an ending. Track durations vary and may be as short as 50 seconds or as long as 10 minutes.
What is a music loop?
A music loop is a piece that “loops” or, in simpler terms, repeats itself indefinitely. Loops of various types and durations are offered in our packages. Please note that loops are always delivered in .wav format only because MP3 format is not suitable for looping. Each music loop is repeated 3 times as a demo in the preview music player. The loops set contains all the loops shown in the preview window and do NOT contain an end piece – only the loops.
What is a short clip?
Short clips are a set of 15, 30 and 60 seconds music clips designed for TV and radio advertising. They can also be used for podcasts, video ads, or any project requiring a short music excerpt.
In what type of file format will the music be sent to me?
After you purchase a license from our site, you will have the option to download the file in superior quality .wav format as well as in MP3 format for complete flexibility with the exception of the loops which are always delivered in .wav format only (the MP3 format is not suitable for seamless looping).Some customers may choose to use the broadcast quality .wav sound files for television or radio projects. However, many customers do need the compressed MP3 version for web-based projects, such as background music for a website. What you hear when previewing music on thequalitykey.com is compressed MP3 quality.
