Become Valuable Person
Don’t chase money, instead work on being a valuable person and the money will eventually start to flow in. This simply means that you work and strive to be a person who does more than expected. It can be a small thing, taking pride in your work, doing a little extra, or going the extra mile. This way of thinking may be a bit counter-intuitive because most people work so that they can make money and if you’re taking on more work you’ll naturally want to be compensated for it.
Zig Ziglar once said, “When you do more than you’re paid to do, you will eventually be paid more for what you do.” If you want to be successful you’ll have to put in the time and effort. If you love what you’re doing work won’t seem like work. How to become valuable could differ from person to person. Factors that will help you decide differs from situation to situation but if knowing what is needed (by your employer, company, etc.) and what you can provide will help in determining how you can help.
There are ways that you can become valuable, as a musician. For example, you could create tutorials for how to play your songs on an instrument. When someone plays your song, it can act as an advertisement of sorts to further promote your work. Some other things you can do is create some royalty-free content, provide tips, or just interact with people in a very humanistic way. Human interactions, to be relatable on a personal level, and treating others with kindness and respect will carry you far.
Above all stay positive. Even in unpleasant situations, you can always control how you react. If you desire and work for your goals then you are always headed in the direction of making your dream a reality.
