Facing the Challenge: Don’t Close the Door on the Fire

There are times in life when you will have to face challenges and hurdles you may not want to deal with. It can be easy and even comforting to just pretend that the issues that are in your life don’t exist, however like closing a door on a fire simply not seeing it won’t make it go away and if left unresolved the problem could fester and grow worse as a result of being ignored.

One way to prevent things from getting too out of hand is to be knowledgeable. Learn as much as you can about the battle you’re up against. With some luck, there may be temporary or even premature solutions to your problems. But knowledge is power, you need to know exactly what you’re up against if you want to have any chance of defeating it. The internet is a fantastic tool at your disposal for finding all kinds of solutions and workarounds, a little research can go a long way.

Thoughts and plans of actions are well and good, but if we were talking about this in terms of physics, they would only be the potential energy of the process, but kinetic energy is needed for movement. After you have done your research and formulated a plan it is then time to put your plan into action.

Every circumstance is different and not all battles require the same tools and methods. Still, if nothing else even if you don’t succeed you can rest comfortably in the knowledge that you have done your best. “When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back.” -Paulo Coelho
