New Year’s is a time when people come together to celebrate the passing of an old year and the upcoming of a new one. And with music being a typical element in celebrations it’s only natural that there would be a music festival to bring in the new year… or several. In fact, all around the world in addition to normal festivities and traditions going on in that location, there are also music festivals.

Due to time zone differences across the world, we’ll be ringing in the upcoming year at slightly different times depending on location, but that won’t stop us from celebrating and enjoying the festivities. Whether you are into indie rock or jazz there is something for you to enjoy. Naturally, expectations for the things to come during your new year’s celebration will vary widely depending on where you will be celebrating. For example, if you are planning to watch the ball drop in New York you can expect music and a lot of people.

If you are planning on going out for the festivities here are a few safety tips to help keep you and others out of harm’s way. Naturally, you’ll want to use some discretion with your decisions and constantly be aware of your surroundings, Additionally, use some forethought and plan your ride in advance. If you are traveling with others be sure that you are aware of their locations at all times. If you are traveling with kids be absolutely sure to not let them out of your sight. It may also be a good idea to always be in arm’s length of your child, particularly in crowded situations.
